Even though this thankfully turned out to be a joke, things like this happen much more often than you think. Why do you think we rarely see ugly popstars? Look at all the hoopla over Gaga gaining a few lbs, for example.
And at people coming for her being an attention-seeker when their faves have had infamous Twitter meltdowns and public feuds with other celebrities, among many other things. The irony. Marina's been extremely classy compared to them.
