He's featured, but he seems to imply that this move was all done before he got any word of it. Who knows if he was even aware it was getting radio play. Yes Interscope would be that dumb, Azealia's management is horrible. 212 was also originally used without Lazy Jay's permission, he was added to the Feature tag AFTER the fact. This is likely a similar scenario is all I'm saying. Maybe Munchi doesn't even enjoy the track so he's against attaching his name to something he feels isn't worthy. Call it pretentious, but it's his beat, his call. This stuff should be sorted long before she planned to officially release it.
For reference Munchi is on Diplo's label so Diplo's comment yesterday when he told her to contact him was likely in regards to this track. Azealia has done many shady things in the past, so I will take anyone's word over hers at this point. She's very unprofessional tbh - Just look at the Fantasea release fiasco as well.

You're missing the point.
It sounds like the label had the single already planned out to a T without even letting the producer know. Now that there's money involved it sounds like Munchi is being ****ed over in which case, I DONT BLAME HIM.

I can sample something, and put their name on the single cover as a featured artist, but that doesn't mean I got permission to do so, or permission to use the sample in my song, and release it.

Yeah but you also don't have an entire team working for you who tmake care of that. Im a music industry student, I know how lisencing works. I just really find it INCREDIBLY hard to believe that no one reached out to Munchi until the day before an iTunes release. He might mean they didnt reach out until after Fantasea dropped, but this remaster and iTunes release has been known for a month or two.

212 was first released when she didn't HAVE proper management focusing on her though. And they took care of that and the track was back up within two days.

This is incorrect. 212, from the day it was released on iTunes, has always credited Lazy Jay as a feature.
Sure, he wasn't asked at first - when Azealia was a nobody rapping over a beat like every nobody rapper does - but she never made any £££ off the song until she got his permission to sell it.

Exactly.
That's why I'm so confused on this. This remaster/release was announced on twitter like a month or two ago, and Munchi didn't have any problems then. A label isn't going to waste time mixing and mastering a song they can't release.
