Its what makes a phone nice. You can have the best chips, but not have the best fluidity. Which is why Windows and Apple have the best mobile software. The software has to work smoothly with the consumer, and Google is just noticing that, they just need to get it to the consumer, and it lacks that.

Well to be fair, Apple has always been form over function. It's in their DNA and it seems to be working as evident in Apple's incredible rise to power, value, and culture impact.

While Android has always "won" in the feature and specs game, iOS does have its advantages. AirPlay is an underrated, but powerful feature in iOS. Apple's ecosystem for iOS devices remains the best in the industry. Also, iOS has always been fluid and "buttery" smooth since 1.0, which Android has been criticized since pre-jellybean.

For the most part (sans maps, multitasking, and notifications), Apple has gotten its features right the first time even when it was late to the game. Apple's implementation of copy & paste was miles better than what Android had pre-Gingerbread. When video capture was added to the 3GS, it included "tap-to-focus," which was the first of its kind. Now tap-to-focus is on every phone. And let's not forget all the innovation that created the foundation of iOS and the iPhone like multi-touch, a seamless UI experience, and tremendous App support.

The Android version situation is something that simply comes with the Open OS and is the way Android is. It's almost a moot point that isn't going away tbh. Updates can get faster after Google's release but it will always be impossible for EVERYONE to be running the same version of Android. It's quite delusional to think that Apple has peaked and stop innovating. Apple is going to continue to have record profits quarter after quarter for the next few years. Apple is also on track to become the first trillion dollar company.

5 million iPhone 5 is a tremendous amount. It's by far the fastest selling electronic device in that time frame. There are two problems with your argument.

One is that analysts know **** when predicting Apple statistics as Apple never gives them adequate guidelines to follow. Just because a well known, inaccurate Apple analysts says something doesn't mean it is a fact. It is almost certain that Apple sold all of its iPhone 5 in the supply channels. In fact, all pre-orders after the first 2 hours of pre-order were pushed back to October. Needless to say, Apple will be selling a tremendous amount of iPhones for the rest of the quarter and for the upcoming holiday quarter.

Two is that the analyst that predicted 6-10 million commented on his ****** analysis:

We believe that this may have been up to 1 million additional units as units pre-ordered after the middle of the first day were projected to be available in October.
