Ya'll are under-estimating the power of Ke$ha.


I doubt the music industry or any average fan expected her to change from the Pop-Glittery Gal. She was smart releasing this as the Lead because it's catchy, a certified Pop Hit, and will get everyone back to the Ke$ha we knew. Once her album drops and this hits #1, THAT'S when she releases her music experiments to the radio once everyone is fully aware and she gets full force.


If she would've came back with a whole new sound after 2 years, she'd get a lot of bad critique, and if what if the song was to not get good recognition and like? Then it flops.


She made a smart decision.

This isn't the mindset that Kesha et al. should have. She's TALENTED! She shouldn't need to rely on "the GP eating it up" as a consolation prize. That should be a nice bonus, with artistic progression and artistic success being the key goals.

People were saying "Born This Way" was a step back for Gaga but it still went #1 everywhere. This is more radio friendly.

But see, she started working on this album rock inspired, but obviously she just wanted a smash hit. I dont blame her, shes been mia for a while and if she came out with a lead single not like Die Young, itd probly flop. but its alright I love this song

Then she needs to ditch RCA ASAP and join up at Interscope or somewhere similar. She's too good to be weighed down like this.

see, while i think she's regressing in quality with this song, starting out with a sound that the general public likes is how you get people to stay with you long enough so that when you do make the quality work you aren't losing a bulk of people's interests, you'll have a strong fandom and followers that will stay with you as you begin your gradual flow into a substantially brilliant artist.

This will smash, and that's nice, but that really wasn't my priority for the song, and I don't think it should have been Ke$ha's. She hyped this as an evolution, and her lead single should have at least somewhat represented that.

It's good for what it is, but it isn't what it should be.

It's not necessarily a step-back, though, as BTW was for Gaga. It's more-so the same level as "Tik Tok" which is great by me; I just really hope I see some growth as we saw with 'Cannibal'.

and besides the rest of the album probably doesn't sound as cheap and generic as this one does. the lead singles always do.

What if she released a new song that was different, it didn't get lots of fame, it got bad criticism, and it ended up flopping?

Then her album would suffer greatly, with majority not knowing her return and a horrible lead single, and that could ruin her whole comeback.


She made a smart decision keeping it safe hitting the ball in the park she knows she'll get a homerun in.


Way too early to be experimenting, especially after a long break.
