I hope the Boy Scouts will rethink their policy soon, though. This type of backlash could gut their organization, which would only hurt the young boys who do get a lot out of scouting.

Being a Boy Scout myself who just earned his Eagle Rank just in Aug, and had my Court of Honor yesterday, I stand by letting Gays into Boy Scouts.. Seeing as how every person I know who is gay is more friendly, respectful, and less drama than straight guys are, I don't see why letting gays into scouts will be a problem.. I think they are just scared about gays trying to get with the straight guys. When in reality, I know you all respect our choices and would never be in issue. If they can allow Girls and Boys to be together in Venture Crew, then Gays should be allowed to be in Boy Scouts.. Simple and clear.. No questions asked..
