Naw, not when it comes to something like this. It's like someone making a thread, "Help Me Understand Gay People" or "Help Me Understand Asian People." I don't know why this thread is still open.

Idk if you still need explaining, but if you do. Let's use you as an example. You're a guy, and you feel comfortable being a guy, dressing like a guy, having people address you as a guy, having guy parts, etc. So you're a guy in a guys body. But there are people who aren't comfortable with the gender they were born as. A person may be born as a girl, but hate having breasts/vagina, being called a she, being thought of as a female, wearing girl clothes and they feel like they want to have the physical parts of a male, be called he, and just live their daily life as a male. Same with people born as guys who feel they're more comfortable as a girl, they feel disgusting having a penis and being thought of as male. I'm a girl in a girls body, but if I woke up tomorrow physically as a guy, I would still feel like the girl I am mentally. So I'd be a "girl trapped in a guys body".

It's difficult to explain. All you need to understand is that psychologically and behaviorally, everyone is a certain gender - every one is a man, woman, someone in between, both, nothing, etc. But for many people, what they are like as a person and the things they like contrast sharply with their physical sex, and with what is expected of that physical sex in society.

So, we're aloud to talk about things as long as they aren't serious adult topics, that we as adults (as most of us portray ourselves as) should be censored? But when those bills about being censored were passed around everyone was in a panic? Gay people are BORN gay. Asians are BORN asian. I'm not trying to understand people who are born a certain way. I'm trying to understand people born a certain way, and then go and CHANGE the way they were born.

I think you're up in a rise right now, because it seems like the cool thing to do. And you don't fully understand what I'm getting at, you just see the words 'trans' 'trapped in another genders body' and you feel the need to get upset. You don't now why you're upset, you just think it's appropriate.

Because this place is full of teenagers. They are not fully mature yet.

I'm upset because of how often stuff like this is asked, and I'm confused as to why people flaunt their ignorance, and then try to defend their flaunted ignorance via argumentum ad hominem. The premise of this thread is insensitive in and of itself (as you mentioned in the OP), and that doesn't take into account all the mind-numbingly ignorant posts I'm seeing (which, admittedly, isn't entirely your fault).

It's nothing against you personally--it's the content of what you're posting and what's being posted in this thread.
