Nicole Scherzinger spends £5 million on new home

Lew Move: X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger buys new £5m London pad to be closer to Lewis Hamilton
Nicole Scherzinger is to buy a £5million home in an ideal location for keeping tabs on Lewis Hamilton.
The X Factor judge, 34, has been eyeing up British property while working on the show this summer.
Her new pad will be barely three miles north of the central London hotel where boyfriend Lewis, 27, invited a party of 10 girls in July.
Nicole, who replaced another US star Kelly Rowland on the X Factor panel, is keen on the plush Regent's Park area, where her neighbours would include Sven Goran Eriksson and Barbara Windsor.
Racing One source said: "Nicole decided to look for a house soon after she began working on the X Factor.
"She loves London and wants a home here. It's much nearer to Lewis, who has a home in Monaco. It means she will be able to spend much more time with him."
"He spends a lot of time on the racing circuit so seeing each other can sometimes be a challenge."
"This, along with her increased workload in Britain, has made moving a no-brainer."
"She also hopes that being in the UK will put her in pole position for Simon Cowell to take her on for next year's series."
"Nicole will keep her home in Los Angeles because she will always need a base there."
"And she loves it there. She has lots of friends and records much of her music out in LA too."
Nicole, who has also considered buying in Hampstead, North London, will be much closer to Formula One star Lewis.
On last night's X Factor Nicole and fellow judges Gary Barlow, 41, Tulisa Contostavlos, 24, and Louis Walsh, 60, continued narrowing down the contestants to the few who will go on to the next stage.
Tonight Simon Cowell, 52, will be making a guest appearance to tell Nicole and the others what categories they will be mentoring.
