'Shakira has decided to push out two things in 2013, instead of one - both the baby and the album. '
As most of you have heard, Shakira and Gerard are expecting their first child together. We are thrilled for the two of them, wish Shakira the very best for the duration of her pregnancy, and are excited for this next chapter in her life: motherhood.
At this point in time, Shakira and Gerard have decided to focus solely on preparing for the baby. Thus, no new album or single will be released during 2012, contrary to what Roc Nation and Shakira.com had previously announced. While this news is disappointing, we must respect Shakira's decision to put her music aside temporarily to enjoy the pleasures of being a new mom.
The new album is now slated for sometime next year, most likely in conjunction with Shakira's appearance on The Voice (though no dates have been picked at this point in time). In the meantime, we can continue to support Get It Started and send Shakira our congratulations during this exciting time.
Not surprising... I just wish we would've never heard Truth or Dare And if the entire album is really "current," I hope it doesn't sound outdated and stale by the time it finally comes out. Perhaps she'll be inspired to work on some new material because of the baby and Pique.

I'm not worried for the songs, she'll surely make new ones and still keep some of the ones she's already recorded, and blend them into a new release. Many have already admitted to doing that. Maybe Truth or Dare won't even be the lead single anymore, and they'll make a new lead single and make Truth or Dare the 4th single with it's video that was recorded in 2012 during the early pregnancy, for nostalgia.
This is teh best thing she could do for a proper release!!
Next year would come among with The Voice!!
