Looking Back On Your Fav's "Black Sheep" Album
Ok, so do any of you guys/gorls/queens/kings/hermaphrodites find that the "black sheep" of your fav's discography doesn't get the recognition it truly deserves/doesn't get your full undivided attention until it's "too late" (several eras later)
examples:
Rated R is arguably rih's best, but it has become arguably her least successful album (post mixtape eras)
Born This Way arguably underperformed (because it followed a massively huge era w/ The Fame) and it seems as though gaga is heading towards a more "fame"-esque sound on her next album (just guessing). Also, I personally did take a liking to a few BTW tracks a lot later on in the era (like once it ended i finally appreciated tracks like Government Hooker and MTN).
any albums by your favs that took a while for you to fully appreciate...and also, do you think that in the mainstream scene of music pop girls/guys can get away with "edgy" albums that are just as massive as their more "safe" stuff...if i were to rephrase:
Let's say Katy goes "artistic" on her next album and it's more rocky and deep. Do you feel that given that sound (the fact that it's somewhat different from her previous stuff/last era), she won't have the amount of success statistically, no matter how great the quality?
