Maybe you read my statement wrong...I'm not against her releasing MM. I'm actually for it. I was commenting on someone concerned about how she would be perceived with this type of song.
It's clear that she got the message and is reupping with more urban tracks but she won't abandon her pop songs. I think she will continue the hip pop divide but will just be smarter about having more substance on both ends and marrying the two more in the beginning of the era.
At least two hip pop songs, hip hop songs and pop songs would be a good balance.
Start out with the Va va vooms then follow up with the beez/IAYL and ss/pta and end with the MM/YF/FB songs.
