It sounds a bit of shade, mixed with a bit of defense on Nicki's part. She's probably aware of the reaction she's getting about being a judge about her not having experience or not being in the industry that long to judge. I think she's right though, the industry is different this time around.
After seeing this, I'm more confident in Nicki as a judge, I always liked her in her interviews because she knows how to talk that talk and what I love about her is she gives of some sort of wisdom when she talks.
