Yet even in it's second season, the ratings weren't even that impressive. Yes, it got a boast from the Super Bowl, but failed to maintain a steady viewership and it slowly started to erode. While X Factor kept a steady medium throughout it's whole season.

And that was only with Paula and Nicole. It even beat The Voice's rating's in its first season as well.



So to say the viewers prefer it more is truly debatable, and the new judges haven't even aired yet, so that remains to be seen. But considering all the hype surrounding Demi and Britney, the forecast seems clear for X Factor.

I don't even see how an established publication like EW can say this. Knowing how the X-Factor has been successfully building/creating hype. They got a casting coup like Britney. But also knowing this this season of The Voice is coming SO soon after the last season. A season, I should add, that experienced hefty ratings declines.

Britney's the one who's been gaining more popularity with the X Factor. Increased Twitter followers, Facebook likes, iTunes chartings etc... and Xtina? It's safe to say that people aren't watching The Voice for Xtina. I mean, not when Adam (the one who saved her career) is in the panel. For all we know, it could be Cee Lo drawing in the audience.

In b4 "backtracking". I never made any predictions about these shows and always differentiated these two artists from thei roles as judges.
