It's not a normal or just "good" success at all, we don't see this type of success everyday. She sold 5,5M+ copies of TD, don't act like it was something easy to do, how many albums got released during the last 2 years? How many reached the 5 million mark? She did completely better than her first era and it's not something easy to do, the most of the artists have a big 1st era and then have weaker eras. Her singles are not big in Europe like they are in the US, in Australia or in the UK for example and she still sold a lot of albums there. (for example, in France, TD is 2x Platinum and her singles weren't big here). It's a huge eras and a lot of eras don't top it.

And the tour didn't gross "averagely", she sold 99% of the tickets of the show, she is just not one of those artists who sell their tickets at crazy prices.

And btw, Funhouse didn't sell 8 million copies, stop inflating the numbers.
