Fox’s The X Factor, after having to split the singing show vote with The Voice last week, this Wednesday saw an uptick, drawing 9.4 million total viewers and a 3.4 demo rating, marking gains of 8 percent and a tenth of a point.

And while X Factor led the night in the coveted 18-49 demo, it was the season premiere of Survivor: Philippines that drew the biggest crowd with 11.2 million total viewers — a 7 percent bump from last September and the long-running series’ best premiere audience in two years.
