power rotation is when a station plays a song nearly once every 1-2 hours, so approximately 15 times a day. this not only boost weekly spins, but it also increases audience impressions since it's played throughout the day.

This effing song just doesn't want me to give up on it I promise you I will stay Dark Side I don't even need it to smash at this point I just want it to go into the top 40
No matter how bad it 'underperformed' DS will always be one of my most favorite Kelly songs, and one of my favorite singles of 2012 hands down.
No matter how many times Z100 may play it now...nothing can pull this beautiful song back up. And it's really sickening to me that songs like "Gangam Style" are put first over pieces of art like this.
If only radio had supported it a bit more from the beginning it would've been a decent hit. While #42 isn't the worst, we all know it isn't the best, it at least had some iTunes longevity & stuck around on the chart for at least 14 or so weeks. And, hey! It sold over 500k...#goldstatus.
Now that "Dark Side" is in the 96-99 area on iTunes, I felt it'd be appropriate for there to be a "RIP" post for this lovely song. The public was obviously here for the song, but not the radio stations. So all we can say is...I guess..."good game".
"don't run away...don't runaway...promise you'll stay..." Bye bye boo.

Sigh, it's in my Top 3 favorite Kelly songs ever. But at the same time, it's ok it didnt share the top charts with songs about blowjobs (Whistle)
such a MESSY era...she should have never released MKIA in the first place -_- DS would have most likely NOT flopped. what the singles should have looked like:
1. stronger (what doesn't kill you)
2. let me down
3. i forgive you
4. einstein
5. dark side
6. honestly
>_< i hope stronger isn't robbed of its potential like all i ever wanted was...sooo many potential hit-songs, it would kill me to see the era end with DS
