I think you never listened carefully to her albums. She has alot of rock elements and thoroughly rock songs as well. Also you haven't listened some of her demos. In addition Bowie was as much rock as pop. Pop music comes from the word POP-ular. Maybe in your country she is not considered rock and also here in Greece the "rock" term is really twisted.

The reason Gaga is included in a lot of these type of lists is because of her "rock star" performer status. The music she makes might be pop but she's a rock star at heart and that's evident from the many musicians and critics who have come forward praising her performance style and her work ethic.

Whether you agree or disagree is a whole 'nother thing. It's not like it's just Gaga fans saying this, it's many other people, including some of the greatest rock acts of all time. It's okay if you don't agree but don't be bitter about other people's opinions.

Gaga has three maybe four songs with rock elements on BTW, but that doesnt make her a rockstar. Maybe you are forgetting that all Gagas albums including BTW are dance-pop oriented.

Bowie is a popstar just as much as a rockstar, because he is a chameleon, he experimented with genres and FULLY embraced them, also helped to create two new subgenres of rock music
