I'd also love to have the Michelle Branch song as the single during winter. It would do well on Hot AC, AC and Pop. Hopefully they promote the EP well.

Lovestrong was a bit of a dissapointment though. The singles (and A Thousand Years) and some tracks (Penguin, Sad Song) are amazing, but the rest is filler at best. Maybe her next album will be betrer. Does anyone know if she started working on that?

That is true. Christina is a modern day version of Vanessa and Michelle. I'm still really hoping Michelle makes a comeback.
I believe I remember reading or hearing somewhere that she will be working on the second album early next year. So hopefully that will be released soon. Plus, there's rumors that she somewhat started that she might be on the Twilight soundtrack again.
