Just a short reality check:

Dont forget, dear deluded Avril fan, that Alanis released her singles at the time when Youtube was not around and even biggest hits from the 80s or 90s dont have as many YT views as new singles released now.
All those are hits, so dont even try to degrade them. And by the way, it was released when rock scene was much more diverse and there was much bigger competition than now.

Yes I know but to have like only 5 million on 'Iconic' songs/ videos uploaded since 5 years ago is such a flop.

Avril got a bigger impact. and I'm not basing on the views I mean in general, Avril was even part of culture since her debut and in some way she still is, I really doubt Alanis ever was plus Avril has more hits and still a much shorter career.

Alanis' time in the spotlight was shorter, but obviously the JLP era was bigger than anything Avril will do, and more influential.
