Due to some Christian people's opposing view of homosexuality/gay marriage and stories of physical abuse in churches and families, do you think Christianity is seen in a bad light these days or do other religions have it worse?

Yes, Christianity is seen in a bad light by some, though Islam seems to be seen in a far worse light in the Western world. I don't think as many people see belief itself in a bad light, rather the way people act on those beliefs is more often judged.

I'd actually say Islam/Muslim's are disliked far more.

Some denominations are hated more than others, but overall I don't think it is as disliked as Islam.

Yes, because Christianity and religion in general is bad.

Yes and for good reason. Although considering about 80% of the people in the US are Christian maybe not.

Yes, I blame the fundamentalists who give Christians a bad name. The ones who carry signs that say "God hates gays!" and bring their opinions into politics and think they're way is the only way to live life, or else you will burn in hell. People don't realize that that are good Christians out here, but all you see are the fundamentalists Christians on the news.

No. I guess it's more with the leadership. The extremes are always terrilble but we all meet nice christians and bad christians just like you meet a nice atheist or bad atheist.

Muslim gets the short end of the stick because unlike the extreme christians, extreme muslims are known for insulting, maiming and bombing people with other religions(or the lack of) for the sake of their god. The generalization sucks but you can't help but pity their victims.

I'm a Christian and even I believe there is some unnatural usage of my religion. The belief system being used in politics, how people claim to hear a voice calling to them and telling them how to live their lives and those people blindly following orders from a unseen force, and how skin color and gender plays into the appearance of these supposed (from what I read) gender less and omnipotent entities. I just wish people (some Americans) didn't misuse the belief system to their own advantage...

My problem isn't the fact that they believe in GOD,it's the fact that they believe in God,yet not respect the wishes of those who don't agree with the bible,by putting their "christian values" somewhere they don't belong.

Now,I'm not saying all Christians do it,but a lot of wrongs have been done in the name of the bible by power hungry christians.

Also,the black pastors who are urging their congregations to sit out this election/not vote for Obama just because he supports LGBT marriage are dead wrong.Homosexual love should not even be an issue,but it's being dragged out by crazy bible thumpers who often muster the silly quotes,only to be backed up by fake science.

Islam is disliked worse. But most organized religion is highly disliked in general, making Islam and Christianity (the world's largest religion) the most hated.
