*note nothing here is proven or brought about as a fact regarding this, its still a theory i've heard*
Well i've stumbled onto a cool find via youtube. It may be a bit to take in/strange, but if you're open to it, it can be a pretty cool thing.
Quote:
ASMR is best described as a physical sensation of tingling that often begins in the scalp and moves down through the spine and sometimes to the limbs. It is a pleasurable feeling that some would call relaxing. ASMR is also known as AIHO (attention induced head orgasm) or AIE (attention induced euphoria).
The feeling of ASMR is triggered by a number of different stimuli, and the effective triggers can differ from person to person.
Some common triggers include:
- The sound of lips smacking, such as when eating.
- Slow or soft speech patterns. Whispering, too.
- Receiving personal attention from someone, such as having your hair done/haircut, having your make-up done, receiving an eye exam, receiving a massage, etc.
- Having someone play with your hair.
- Certain sounds may trigger the effect, like fire crackling, paper scratching, white noise, running water, etc.
- Watching someone who is performing a meticulous task, like fixing an electronic, working origami, making tea, etc.
- etc, many different "triggers" for people
|
If you wanna test if you might have this, a few triggering videos to watch/skim for a bit:
Vids
If you reacted to anything above, you may experience:
- Tingling in your head/spine/face/neck etc, usually a pleasant feeling
- A general feeling of relaxation or being in a "trance"
- etc, reactions vary in everyone

So has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Don't be shy, share!

That blond girls video was amazing, she had me tingling constantly.
So, yes, I've got it, and it's brilliant.

I forgot to point out, I don't think its a disease or condition, just like a feeling or something some people have. I'm not sure.

Iknorite?
I think I remember having the same experience of "relaxation" like during a haircut, etc. Its cool, like a free spa.

I sometimes watch the Russian/Eastern European celebrity makeup tutorials on Youtube because their voices give me this feeling occassionally.
