When a surprised Lopez asked if that panel has been announced, Couric answers "yeah." So either she got a press release we didn't or her information isn't quite so confirmed. However, various outlets are reporting that Fox is set to announce the new judges on Friday — the same day Couric's interview with Lopez will air.
The show aired yesterday I believe, the same day Fox was suppose to confirm the judges. I believe that Fox told "Katie" then the transcript was released to build hope, but Fox didn't make the announcement yet for some unknown reason.
