The 1974 original was a low budget production as well. Budget has never stopped a film from becoming something great. John Carpenter's Halloween is proof of that.

That said, I've been very skeptical about this film ever since the plot came about. I'm very glad that it picks up after the second, tho. They pulled a Halloween: H20, lol. This could actually work, tho. Guess we'll see what happens when it comes out.
