Where's the Innovation? All these new "features" are already on Android since 2010. FYI we are now in late 2012.

-its kinda different looking because of its Uni-body color scheme.
-LTE

I'm underwhelmed, the design is beautiful and is unlike anything we've seen, but that's about it.

It sucks too, because I'm torn between S 3 for more storage space and specs, but on the other hand I want the iPhone 5 for the design, easy syncing with iTunes on my macbook and just because I'm so familiar/comfortable with it.

Tough decisions are tough, but I'm leaning toward S 3, but it's neck and neck.

How is it playing catch up? last year, 4G LTE was nowhere. It would've been stupid to add it to the 4S when it could be added to the 5 and be a huge selling point considering LTE is in a lot more areas now. Same reason for Apple not adding NFC to the 5. It's not necessary.

iOS doesn't need as high specs as the resource hog that is Android, and Android still lags

The iPhone 5 is perfect. Hearing them explain the 4" screen made it make sense. It's basically a brand new design, I mean yeah the front is the same but they can't really do anything to that...

It basically has everything that was rumored, I don't understand how people can be 'underwhelmed' unless they were expecting a total makeover.

It's the inside that counts about it all. The new A6 chip and 'ultrafast' wireless, and IOS 6 (which could have had more but apple always makes baby steps with these) and even the panorama feature on the camera is pretty cool.

The exterior is just w/e changes imo. I wasn't expecting anything to happen with that anyway other than the taller screen. Cool that it's thinner though.

Is the design that different though. It didn't change much.

- Taller screen
- Aluminum/glass two tone back
- New charge port
- New speakers
- Moved headphone jack
- More recessed front and back glass panels creating a diamond-type shape
- Thinner

It would be dumb for them to change the design that much, the current one is perfect and works. How much different was the S3 to the S2?

As gimmicky as GS3 is, it still innovated to some extent. The Iphone 5 is what the iphone 4s should have been back in 2011.

I am happy with it. The size of the screen is just right. Any bigger, and it would be like having a tablet in your hand. I want to be able to still fit it in my pocket, so they did well in sustaining that. I love the aluminum finish on the back. It makes it look even more refined. It's a beautiful phone. Those haters all over the internet can stick to their plastic if that's what they want. They're secretly just jealous of their choice. Apple have done it right again!

You are clearly uneducated about the Android OS and based your opinion on the "lag bandwagon" that has expired since Froyo aka android 2.2.

Any 2012 android device is as smooth as if not smoother than the Iphone.

I won't deny that Apple has brought a lot of innovation to the table..

The iPhone 5/4s doesn't have any innovation, however Everything new about those has been on Android devices forever.

And for people saying that a screen size bigger than 4 inches would be too big, SMH. Apple fanboys have been saying the same about their screen since the iPhone debuted and it's NOT true in any way. Most people that have actually used screens that are bigger than the iPhones have had very positive feedback and professional websites have endless praise for big screens like the ones on the One X or the SIII.

..says alot about this new phone.

Have you seen them IRL? You can tell they're different from a mile away.

iPhone 5>>>GS3

One looks expensive while the other looks cheap.

There's nothing underwhelming about the new iPhone. It has everything people have been bitching about and looks miles better than any Android phone.

It may look expensive, but expensive doesn't run the phone. Where as the Galaxy S 3 would out perform the iPhone in it's "cheap" design.

The iPhone is nothing more than a status symbol.

No, it is basically a new model. It look alike but from product design point of view. All the changes Apple made represent a new design.

I think iPhone 5 is somehow a let down. I'm only intrigued by the new design headphone; however, the price of the new headpiece doesn't bode well for the quality.

Most people like iPhones and basically every Apple product because they look good, Androids look cheap.
