Every year since the first plane hit the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 in New York City at 8:46 a.m., a moment of silence has been observed in remembrance, but on this anniversary NBC's TODAY decided to skip the silence in favor of airing an interview with Kris Jenner.
President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama led the White House in a moment of silence on Tuesday, while the NYPD, FDNY and Port Authority Police observed at Ground Zero, and most of the major cable network morning shows like Good Morning America carried it — but not NBC.
Instead, TODAY aired an interview with Keeping Up With The Kardashians matriarch Kris Jenner, who spoke about the new season of the show and her breast implants.
