Yea, and Wide Awake had five co-writers.
I want her to take her time and write a couple songs just by herself.

She scored the biggest hit of her career with him, but also her most critically panned song (which still went Gold as just an album track). So its more likely she'll be working with him again, maybe even filling Luke's spot?

I agree.
I doubt the rejection was personal. It was probably her A&R that were didn't want it to compete with Katy's actual singles, fearing it would overexpose her.
