People accused her of "taking it too far." The lead single, the sex book, and her image were the reason of that, not the album as a whole.

Her image at the time was calculated, and of course there were calculated steps made in the album, but as a whole the album isn't extremely calculated, I find it very personal and free spirited.

It wasn't a meltdown! She didn't have any personal problems going on, and the decisions she made for her image were being crucified by the public, not her personal life choices!!!

i wasn't talking about album sales and you are right not every low sales album is or should be associated with meltdowns. I was talking about her wild behavior and the way the media treated her around that time.
