I went and saw it. It's always a dumb little girl that ignores all the warnings, LOL. It was more funny that scary to me.

The story of the box is one of the biggest hoaxes around. It's called the Dybbuk Box. You can find info on it all over. As far as the movie goes, it had a few shocking moments, but the majority of the film struggled IMHO.

people are hating for no reason. it was soooo much better than recent exorcism movies that have come out.

this movie doesn't have the cliché contortionist BS that most exorcism movies have.

Well at the theatre I work at The Possession has been the busiest movie everyday over the past week, people are loving it and coming back to.

I saw bits and snippets, including the end - and I honestly don't understand all the negativity about it, seems like an amazing movie.

Well shot and made with a few atmospheric moments, but no scary at all. The box is basically a Pandora Box of exorcism cliche. If you have watched a lot of films in the gerne, most of the elements have already "been there, done that". It sadly contains no surprise. Still, the cinematography and pacing are handled properly.

At the beginning......

It's trapped in so many exorcism film traditions. The only new gimmicks are the box and the Jews.

Saw it yesterday. It was alright
