Lbr I'm sure they were all drinking. Nobody hotboxes in the car by themselves when there's other people around, I'm sure they were just driving recklessly during the night for fun after drinking. So no, I'm 99% positive that they people in the car were drunk as well.
Nobody deserves to die over a mistake they made. But if it comes down to them either hitting and killing a family driving home from somewhere, or they getting killed themselves, it's better they died for their own mistake rather than taking the lives of innocent people. Still though, R.I.P. to them and their families, and let this be a lesson to others.
I talked about this on my Facebook, and I'm getting backlash because I said "That awkward moment when a drunk driver tweets the word YOLO, minutes before getting killed in a car crash, along with four other people."
I clearly meant that the driver was using YOLO as an excuse to drink, drive, and text, but some bitchy mr. know it all's are questioning my judgmenet.
The passengers could have spoken up, or one could have taken the wheel in lieu of the original driver. I can use logic, no?
Well theyre all morons then.
I've lost people to retarded decisions like that. When grown assed people with competent decision making skills make stupid choices like that, they deserve it.
i legit don't understand how people are saying the passengers were 'innocent casualties'. yeah, the driver was drunk and he was on his phone, but the fact that 4 other people actually agreed to get in the car with him in that state (and taking into account that the 4 passengers may well also have been drunk if they were with a driver who was drunk) then i don't think they're so innocent at all
if you're stupid enough to make the conscious decision to get into a car with a drunk driver you're asking to die. simples
What double standards. The driver was a ratchet criminal putting people's life at risk and eventually killing some of his (irresponsible) friends. Why is it acceptable to think bad of other murderers, voluntary or involuntary, and in this case people get shocked about our opinion?
SMH @ people acting like this was just a simple "mistake". Everyone knows not to drive drunk, if you choose to do so then you know what you're possibly getting into. That's not being insensitive, that's being smart. Don't be so foolish.
