A tornado was spotted today off the coast of Coney Island.
Now that's a Brooklyn Cyclone!
At least one massive tornado was photographed off the beach at Coney Island and the Rockaways this morning, as beachgoers deserted the area.
Photos appeared on line of the giant twister as it made its way to New York City.

It was not clear what damage it left in its wake.
Today's storm is the second time in less than a month that a twister was spotted in the area.
A tornado touched down in Suffolk County on August 11, causing over 1,000 people to lose power and knocking down power lines, damaging homes and uprooting trees.
The Aug. 11 tornado, which hit at 2:06 p.m., was given the smallest rating for a twister, said Chris Vaccaro of the National Weather Service.

The 85 mph storm touched down near Widgeon Court in Great River, then moved north for 4.5 miles, where it finally lifted up near the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Gary Way Road in Ronkonkoma. It moved across Connetquot River State Park, Bohemia County Park and Bohemia, Vaccaro said.
The most serious damage was reported in Bohemia, Vaccaro said, where trees had twisted and snapped and toppled onto cars and houses. Several trees that had been uprooted knocked down power lines, he said.
Several homes were damaged due to falling trees in Oakdale and Bohemia, he said.
