There is a line pointing to the PEAK that we're talking about, highlighting Taylor's performance as the reason for the peak.

9:45pm would be right in the middle of OneDirection & Taylor.

Leaving only 10 minutes of time to account for the giant dip in comments and Taylor's peak in comments.

Wasn't the show telecasted at different times in different time zones, though? Many things trended like 3 times in waves according to air time. It could basically be spikes added up on top of each other
