Gary Barlow stepped out for the first time since the loss of his newborn daughter Poppy at the GQ Men of the Year awards last night (4th September).
The Take That star put on a brave face as he attended the bash - presented by Jimmy Carr and David Walliams - alongside the likes of pal Robbie Williams and James Corden.
Williams was on hand to help Gaz celebrate winning the Outstanding Achievement gong at the ceremony held at The Royal Opera House in London.
Friends of the The X Factor judge told The Metro: "Gary just wanted a really fun night out. It's the first time he's been out since everything happened.
"He didn't want the night to be about work and just wanted to have a real laugh with Rob and James Corden at his table."
Barlow himself also told the newspaper on the red carpet: "It's a night to dust off your best suit and tie, and mix with some of the big boys isn't it?
"I am sure there will be some rowdiness tonight from our part of the room as we've got Rob and Corden around us all night."
Gary wasn't too far off with his prediction as the trio celebrated a hoard of awards, with Robbie picking up the Icon accolade and Corden taking home the Editor's Special trophy.
Other big winners on the night included Tinie Tempah who was named Solo Artist of the year, XF presenter Dermot O'Leary for being the Most Stylish and hunky Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth, who won the International Breakthrough prize.
Representing the girls at the bash was Lana Del Rey, who was crowned Woman of the Year, while Team GB Olympic cyclist Bradley Wiggigns was handed the Lifetime Achievement gong.
The likes of Sacha Baron Cohen, Michael Fassbender and Sir Tom Jones were also among the winners.
