Little Big Town claims its second No. 1 single - its first on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs - with “Pontoon” (Capitol Nashville), which leads the radio list eight weeks after it became the group’s first chart-topping song on Billboard’s Country Digital Songs (July 21). The quartet’s previous best rank on Hot Country Songs was noted when “Bring It on Home” stopped at No. 4 six years ago. On the digital tally, “Pontoon” has amassed four weeks at the summit and ranks at No. 2 this week. Nielsen SoundScan reports more than 1 million downloads sold since its release in May. Top local audience contributors during the tracking week are KKGO Los Angeles (948,000 impressions), WUSN Chicago (862,000), WYCD Detroit (776,000), KMNB Minneapolis (759,000) and KEEY Minneapolis (756,000). With 716 plays since April 24, SiriusXM “The Highway” leads Nielsen BDS-monitored national formats in total spins - 73 plays are tabulated in this week’s Billboard Country Indicator list, helping “Pontoon” log a second week atop the national formats/ secondary markets tally.
I'm more excited for Hunter. It didn't look like he was gonna make it to the top 10 at one point but then he starting killing with his updates. So happy for him!
