That's cause 75% of "Blown Away"'s sales had to be before the end date for nominations. She only had like a month to sell, so she'll most defiantly get a nomination next year. I hope.

And no, Kelly isn't "Country" per say, but her MKIA remix (which was an actual new recording altogether, not just a change of instruments with the same vocals) was no more or less Country than anything Taylor or Carrie put out these days. So let's not. She's not going to win regardless, so let's just get over it and be happy for this living vocal legend.

Y'all are also forgetting she went back into the studio and re-recorded her vocals for the country mix, she has every right to be nominated for country vocal because that's what she recorded, a country vocal.
But that isn't more deserving than acts who originally put Country music out and tour for months playing Country music to their Country fans.

Over You is one of the most heartfelt songs of the year, and it went to #1. I think a lot of people can relate to it, cause it deals with the loss of a loved one. And it was a song tributed to Blake's brother who died young.

I would agree if it were for a different award, but the fact is this award is specifically for vocals and Kelly produced a country vocal the same as all the other girls, nothing else matters except those pipes.
Plus idk why y'all care, it's not like she's going to win at ALL, but it's nice to be nominated as they say.
