It's true. This is why defenders of "traditional marriage" don't have a leg to stand on because most Christians today would agree that many of the Old Testament forms of marriage (which permitted polygamy and concubinage) are morally reprehensible. The fact that you can no longer sell your daughter into marriage in exchange for 10 cows means that the "Biblical definition of marriage" has already been altered.

Concubines and Polygany existed in other countries where Christianity wasn't even a major religion like China. Read The Wild Swans to get a better idea.
Now here's my two problems with this:
1) Almost ALL of these came from the Old Testament.
2) Nearly all were seen as socially acceptable partnerships in the times they existed. But society and their traditions change all the time. People in China use to crush the bones in their daughters feet so that they wouldn't grow beyond Two inches because it was seen as erotic. People use to chop people's hands off for stealing. Do we do this anymore? No. That is why I stand by the claim that the Bible is not socially relevant anymore bar a few passages.

It's not an attack on Christianity, more an attack on cafeteria Christians who are very selective with what they believe but think otherwise.
