Well, the teachers should assign you in tables. Whoever is in your table, just introduce yourself and ask questions and that's how a friendship starts.

He's actually really smart, he got the best grades in our Chemistry and Spanish classes right alongside mine. I don't know how he didn't figure out what I was doing.

Well in my high school (when I was in H.S) everybody in my 4th period had the same lunch (usually thats how lunches are scheduled)... Make friends with somebody from there.. Ask him/her a question, play dumb and ask for help on something... Or better yet... BE YOURSELF! Give it time, im sure you'll make some friends soon. Good Luck
