I agree. Even as a gay person I agree that fixing the economy is FAR more important than gay rights. However, voting republican is certainly NOT the way to do it.

Regardless of who wins this upcoming election, this country is kinda screwed. Obama was overhyped when he was elected and didn't deliver the "change" his platform was on. I'm just saying it's better to be an educated voter than simply say I'm gay and therefore Obama gets my vote. Social issues should just be left up to the states.

In all honesty neither candidate has a very inspring or hopeful approach to fix the economy, neither realizes both the rich and poor need to make sacrifices to fix this mess we're in.. so since neither will do a good job in that regard I say vote for obama, at least his social view is up to date. And yes states should be left to deal with the social issues but the reality is that federal government tries to get their noses into it either way.

I think you watch a li'l bit too much Fox News. Obama promised change. He didn't say instant change. Like you said, things take time. Obama is helping and he's doing what he can and more.

And what's so bad about gay rights being the most important thing to a person? If you're gay, YOUR rights should be of most important value. If not, that's a personal issue you need to sort out.
