At this point, I don't know. When an artist is getting them out the wahoo and at a consistent rate it's easy to say "oh, they sure will" but as your career ages the #1s slows down a lot. Ask the #1's queen, Mariah. She got most of hers in the first 10 years of her career. Has only had like 3 or 4 since the year 2000. I don't think Katy or Rihanna will be getting them at an alarming rate forever, so it's like a "who knows?"
How can the Katy stans be SO DELUSIONAL and think that she is going to repeat her strike of #1's with her next eras??? IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, GEEZ.
She gets older and older, maybe her Leadsingles will reach number 1, but she can't make that kind of music she does right now forever... and I don't see her doing well in a different genre... and she will reach the point in her career, when she wants to do an artistic Album, and we all know that those Singles won't go to #1, ask Beyoncé and Nelly Furtado... everyone who thinks that Katy will surpass this record is just plain dumb. Remixes and discounts won't help her forever
The only one who has a shot is Rihanna, that's a fact, but I wouldn't count Mariah out yet, she can still surprise us... you guys remember what American Idol did for J.LO right?
