Do you realize how many singles has she released so far (4 songs and with expensive music videos in addition to video games) and her label might stopped promoting for her in the US because they realized it wont help her sales, but she's doing all sorts of promotion WW and especially in Europe, like festivals, her covering some of the most prestigious fashion magazines and the highly profiled TV performances, and isn't she preparing for a re-release, so her sales are expected. And still someone with this kind of promotion should sell more than 2M.

Yeah,a bit.I didn't see her being this successful.She has sold quite a lot of albums and it's still selling well.She outdid much more established artists and overhyped people with huge fanbases like Justin Bieber too quite effortlessly,it's definitely impressive.

More and more excuses keep rolling in. She hasn't had TV performance in the last 6 months. Those artist who are having huge airplay hits, and promo at every award show are struggling to pass 2M mark, and you're telling me now that Lana's sales are expected, when just months ago you were saying how her album will be nowhere to be found in the second quarter of 2012.

I completely agree. I love Lana (and some of the other indiepop girls) but it's no longer some underground-ish kind of music. It's mainstream at this point and I don't really care cause I just enjoy good music but the hipsters will soon jump off this bandwagon cause all they care about is stanning for unknown artists.
