They are idols obviously but which of their have the best voice?, Kelly Clarkson the first idol have a great sucess in the world + 2 Grammys one of them for Best Vocal Performance but Carrie Underwood is most recent but she can have the sucess of a idol need and 3 grammys with her 1st album! well for you, What of their have the best voice?.

Shes also a real artist in my eyes. Even though I don't follow her or Kelly's career, I see Carrie as an artist thats no longer associated with American Idol.

What? Kelly is the one that broke all ties with American Idol, while Carrie just performed on the show last week? Kelly is the one that wrote her biggest hits herself, not Carrie.

Back to the actual topic, Kelly is the better vocalist. Her voice has more range, and more importantly it has more depth of emotion. She doesn't just sing the song in other words.

Oh and PS Carrie won 2 grammys, not 3. Best song goes to the writers. She wasn't one of them.

I am NEVER going to be able to decide on this. While I believe Carrie Underwood is consistently a 9.9/10, Kelly Clarkson has been the one that has made those single, most amazing 10/10 performances, however not staying consistent...

OMG, thats undecideable to me. Sorry, this is too hard!
First, Kelly's voice is more "commercial" if you ask me... which suits where she is in now, pop/rock stuff. But she's unconsistent, i love her voice during AI and first album which she's doin better in performance too.

In Carrie case, well, she has different "type" of voice. Kinda strong and something "big". Something in her voice made me comfortable in any way, and I can related alot to her songs.
So I cant dfecide it easily.

Carrie is such a talented singer, but I think Kelly's better.

i voted for carrie..why because she is more consistent compared to kelly..kelly tends to oversing her songs and sometimes it gets painful and she actually screams instead while carrie doesnt..i love kelly clarkson alot and carrie and it was hard for me to make that decision but carrie's performances have been way better than kellys..
