Justin Bieber turns down $25 million American Idol deal

Mariah Carey might’ve commanded an astounding $18 million to join American Idol’s judging lineup, but according to a new report, teen heartthrob Justin Bieber could’ve put her salary to shame if he’d have accepted his alleged offer to join the show.
The National Enquirer reports that the Biebs was offered a whopping $25 million per year to join the show as a judge.
“That’s because executive producer Nigel Lythgoe’s so hot on Bieber he approached him even before Steven Tyler announced he was quitting,” said an insider. “Nigel was willing to make Justin the highest-paid judge EVER.” The source claims that the Idol exec was convinced signing the hot singer would lure in a younger demographic and ensure that the show’s ratings would skyrocket back to the top.
Justin reportedly turned down deal because of touring commitments, despite the fact that he totally hearts Idol.
It sounds like Nigel’s got a serious case of Bieber Fever! Don’t we all, though?
They would never. They'll be going for someone much less known, probably an industry behind the scenes expert type person. Nicki and Mariah are already two huge names.
