How about we all agree to ban the topic of gay rights from anything political...because gay rights are rights...(its in the name) and we need to stop arguing about it.

Unfortunately it's not so easy for some of us to ignore the fact that one candidate would admittedly and very willingly deny us basic American rights, while the other at least pretends to be cool with it and would not deny us said rights. When you're treated as subhuman perpetually you begin to develop a bit of an agitation with the attitude that you're unequal.

God. Anybody that votes for Romney is a moron. Hates gays, women, and poor people. All of you voing for him must be old white men

He literally just said in his speech he would "defend the institution of marriage" = a.k.a. keep denying gays the right to marry. Doublespeak at its most obvious.

Oh well, their problem.

I like to listen to both sides but man, his speech was a mess.

This is kind of like the gays who voted Wildrose here in Canada, even though a canadiate said that gays should all burn in a lake of fire.

Are you actually insinuating that gay people who vote for the party that promotes their equal rights are somehow in the wrong

Well...they certainly must be fine with losing their freedom.

Why can't they just start a third party of something like that for socially liberal but fiscally conservative gay people instead of sticking with the republicans? They only care about their bank accounts. They party they belong to for the most part has no interest in showing them basic human respect yet they are fine with that.
