I honestly think so. Remember the Billboard interview where she says she had an entirely different concept, then another time where she said she brought in the band from Fela musical to get a groove of the sound, then when one of the producers said she was in a really happy place, so we would get a bunch of uptempo records, then there's the Jim Jonsin video where he said they did some really huge 80's uptempo type songs.

I think there was an entirely different version of 4, more along the lines of Countdown and Run the World, End of Time, but sense she became pregnant at the last minute, she switched and put all of the ballads on the record. I mean she recorded 70+ songs and to think they'll go unlistened makes me sad.
