Australian twin singers Jessica and Lisa Origliasso also known as The Veronicas say they are re-inspired and excited ahead of the release of their third album 'Life on Mars.'
The third album features the hit single 'Lolita' which is already playing on Australian radio.
After the whirlwind success of their previous two albums the Secret Life Of in 2005 and Hook Me Up in 2007 the girls said they decided to take some away from music before contemplating work on album number three.
"We took a little break, took some time apart to, you know, just experience different things, expeirence life and just grow individually as women,' Lisa said.
'It's been quite the journey but we feel definitely excited to finally to be releasing the music out there."
The girls said they challenged themselves taking on a host of different collaborators on the new album.
'We kind of just made this dream list and started working down it,' Jessica said.
'People like Daniel Johns from Silverchair, we came back and worked with him, which was an unbelievable experience.'
The girls also worked with British producer Nellee Hooper and the Smashing Pumpkin's Billy Corgan.
The girl's first single 'Lolita' is inspired by life experience as much as it is by the books and film of the same name.
"It is very symbolic to the world we were living in within the industry. The powerplay that goes on between men and women, especially being young women in an industry dominated by older men.' Lisa said.
'It also touches on that subject of forbidden love which is a subject we both love to write about.'
I'm surprised they haven't announced a release date. The single has been doing well for them, hasn't it?
I don't think so. Almost all of their singles reached top 10 in Australia, Lolita only peaked #23. I hope Lolita reaches top 15-20 soon with promo and music video. This single is already falling on Itunes.

Also, the fact that they hadn't released anything since 2008 doesn't help.
They'll be ok though, their fan base is HUGE in Australia so they will sell no matter what but I just hope WB won't delay the album to force them to record something generic..
They were supposed to upload the video teaser today but Jessica said that WB was holding it for a few more days.
I think they are trying to let it premiere on TV or something to build some hype.
Well hopefully they release the video soon because it kind of sucks that they told fans they were gonna show a teaser and end up not doing it. They should definitely premiere it on TV though.
I was hoping they'd do a live performance, but now that Everybody Dance Now got axed, we'd have to wait till the live shows of xfactor and while the song slips everyday...
