Yes that's pretty much it. The producers mold you into something your not just for ratings. Two twins also went on X Factor AUS last year and they were promoted as dumb ****s with skirts on the whole way through. Then they posted on their facebook a good clip of them playing guitar and singing well. Then pretty much saying they were "told to act dumb". I'll try find the link.
What's funny is that the vid you posted is probs true. The X factor is all planned, before you go on stage you get told how to act and what to sing, my friends went on it

I think I love Nicole. She is too funny. I'm glad she's now a judge on XFactorUK. I really do hope she gets some traction and make it big. She deserves it.
