The potato. The great potato famine lowered the Irish population by 20% - you don't see corn having that kind of impact.

Corn is in EVERYTHING. Literally everything, from the food (yes, even the french fries and McNuggets) at McDonalds to the fuel in your car.
Potatoes are better tho.
