maybe creep is the song that got 10s from the people that really didn't like most of the other songs
not getting 0s would probably put it a lot higher than the rest

I felt that way about some of the Thom Yorke songs, and some of the non album singles. But I enjoy most of the rest.

That's very interesting that you say this. My introduction to the song was through Amnesiac so I never got that feeling of incompleteness ("don't really go anywhere"). I can see how some people could hear their music like that, but I for one find "I Might Be Wrong" to be exceptional. There are better songs on the album not in the rate ("You and Whose Army?" and "Life in a Glasshouse" to name two), but it's still deserving of an 8.

I wouldn't say its incompleteness; I can appreciate the mood it creates. But it doesn't go on a musical or emotional journey, so I'm left kind of unsatisfied. I don't know, maybe it's a grower.
I don't get the Creep hate, hope it will be in the top 10.
it's such a dated faux-grunge-y mess, but the worst part to me has to be the way the instruments sound like they were pasted on top of eachother without creating any coherent sound..
the fact that it almost overshadows their entire career in the GP's eye has to add to why people don't like it too..

This. That such an experimental and boundary pushing band is defined by the GP with such a basic song is annoying.

Technique isn't necessary to make a great song. I know "Creep" is repetitive, basic and go nowhere, but it is a powerful, meaningful song with nice melodic guitar notes and grunge cymbal beats, it is a good song despite of the emo lyrics.

I don't think it's a terrible song at all. I wholeheartedly agree with the bolded part though.
With I Might Be Wrong, at least for me the beat and production was really great and overshadowed everything else in the song like the vocals and the lyrics. I still gave it a 9 though and it deserved to be higher.
Don't care much about the other eliminations. Harrowdown Hill better be the highest Thom song.

"Black Swan," Thom Yorke's third solo song to leave (Only "Harrowdown Hill" is left) the rate. It's demo originally was made in the Kid A sessions, but was since remade into the song it became. It was a moderate hit on the Modern Rock charts (#40). It was the first single from The Eraser.
I am saddened by this song's placement. It's by far my favorite Yorke track, and I have a lot of nostalgia with it. The bass is enchanting, and the hook is some classy ****. 8.8
