Anyway, this whole popstars not being artists is dumb as ****. Legends like Whitney and the King and Queen of Country have written even less than Rihanna has in their 30 year careers but yet noone cares about that.

For those that can write and produce songs like Gaga, hats off to them...........but do people not realize that there are people called songwriters that actually JUST write for a living? People actually ASPIRE to be songwriters and would freak out over a chance to write a song for her. I honestly don't see anything wrong with Rihanna sitting back and letting people do their JOB and write hits for her.

But they really don't. Let's not pretend that even the indie bands don't crave a tenth of the successful Rihanna has had. They all want to be the next MGMT or Vampire Weekend but they fail because they don't have great music, which Rihanna has. Sure she doesn't write all of her songs but it's up to her as an artist to decipher and emote a song a certain way and based on how moved we are as listeners determines her artistry. Can you think of any other artist who can relate and deliver her sense of urgency in LTWYL? No. Her delivery on Russian Roulette? No. Even WFL? No. Haters can stay hating.
