If you get adds back can you possibly talk to them about allowing cuss words that are apart of real worlds like pea**** or bands and songs with cuss words in them?
Instead of asterisks, convert them to words such as poopoo. SomethingAwful does this to circumvent the strict rules of censorship and it makes everything look hilarious.
Why is NHB still open if we're worried about content?
They've already addressed the fact that it really shouldn't be here, it's just that it's a staple of ATRL so they'll probably only delete it if it's necessary to get the ads back.
Speaking of all this, can anyone tell me anything about the status of our ads coming back? I would hate to see the site shut down, so I hope it's going well.
I've been on some sites that allow swearing in the thread posts, but not the thread titles themselves, due to advertisers. Every situation's different I guess.
Its not really a problem to be honest, but would it be possible to maybe block a poortion of the word instead of the entire word (like f**k instead of ****) so that the word is censored, but still retains some of the sugary goodness that comes from saying ****. Kinda like diet Coke.
I run a website and I know how frustrating what you are going through must be . I remember when Adbrite complained that I had alot of profanity when I had None . So I can only imagine .
I dont think many people have an issue with censorship I do think though you should find other alternatives mainly CPM ad networks .
