I'm still DEAD that S&M got released to urban radio.
E.T. by Katy Perry did aswell.
Although, to be fair, E.T. has more urban qualities than S&M, which is pure dance-pop. Maybe they thought after WMN? urban would love her enough to play S&M haha.
The delusion in this thread. "The Motto", NIP & ESOF are the only iconic songs on this list and anyone who says otherwise is delusional. TM is clearly the most iconic though because it made the YOLO phrase popular.
WMN is a pop song. Just because it was a hit on Urban radio does not make it an urban song.
you are missing some songs but from the list
Alicia Keys - Un-Thinkable
Beyonce - Love on Top
DJ Khaled - I'm On One
Drake - The Motto
Jay-Z - Empire State of Mind
Jay-Z & Kanye West - ****** in Paris
Kelly Rowland - Motivation
Rihanna - What's My Name?
Usher - Climax
I believe all those songs either influenced the sound of urban radio or made impact among the urban listeners

Maybe it's just me, but I've never come across anyone who says "YOLO." YOLO seems like a term Twitter users went crazy over. I just never noticed it outside of the Internet, while "that sh** cray" was really a popular phrase everywhere.
And look at me now did not have a bigger impact than dueces on urban radio. It may have been a bigger pop hit but on urban no, and this is why people that KNOWS urban radio & listeners should do polls like this & not becky or conner from the burbs.....
These are the most likely the most impactful Urban songs, this decade
Look at Me Now
******s in Paris
Can't Be Friends
Deuces
Un-Thinkable (I'm Ready)
I'm On One
Lotus Flower Bomb
Love on Top
Climax
Yeah, Empire State of Mind is from 2009. I think Bedrock is aswell, but those songs only got popular at the very end of 2009/beginning of 2010, so I still included them.
