There were 80 people who died during robberies in total in the year of 2010 (including both homeowners killed as well as intruders shot by homeowners).
Whereas in 2007 (couldn't find statistics for 2010), there were 613 fatal accidents through the use of weapons, or, in other words, 613 presumably innocent people just trying to enjoy life died.

However we're in need of stricter laws and requirements for getting a gun, can't believe you can buy thousand bullets and assault rifles all at once.
